Trust a flumph

A Jellinid is a mushroom that when bothered can simply float away in a dance of gentle flaps and a cloud of spores that cause confusion to those who breathe them. The Jellinid forest is an entire culture of these strange myconids.

At the center of Jellinid forest lives a happy undisturbed flumph called Pannekoek. The flumph cares for the Jellinids while feeding on the psionic energy the cranium crabs that cross the forest radiate. The crabs hive is actually made of Jellinid mycelium.

Pannekoek only problem is that cranium crabs make very poor conversation and they are bored to tears by the Jellinids, so any conversation, including tips that might help the adventurers is welcome here.

Once the Jellinid forest has been crossed the mounds of glowing pale blue mycelium starts covering the surface of most things in Remeteraak's shell. Many dead corpses are also decomposing and feeding the Jellinid mycelium. In this area giant cranium crabs will attack any intruder, and even climb on one another to cat as a type of siege tower with four pincers. To get by them requires stealth or brawn.

At a certain point the mycelium covers the entire cavern, only allowing passage through tunnels that the crabs themselves have dug out. This is the cranium crab's hive. The walls are soft with the blue glow of the mycelium, and with tools and determination not hard to dig through.
