The Crown of Sullen
Sullen was called Sullan back when their days were bright, and their homes prosper. Before whatever it was that took them came down of their neighboring triffs.
These days even the weather in Sullen has turned gray and meek.
The Sullen Rapture
All that is known is that one summer night a thick black fog came down in a silent roar from the mountains and raptured away the young and the elderly. Only those who were most loved were taken, the newborn, the mothers, the hardworking and noble. The rest were left confused and dazed, knowing that they had remained because they were not as good as the others.
The sullen, those who remained, now live life in a gloomy fashion, eyes wide and lips tightly pursed. It is a silent and gray place where whispers fill the gaps in broken homes where those who were taken once stood.
Some say that the black fog will come back one day, and deliver the final blow. Others believe that their loved ones are still alive somewhere. But the truth is no one knows why they were taken or where the best of them went.
