Fools triff

Also called the blank range, after a day traveling through this triff, the mind begins to wander. It becomes harder to focus on a task and remember trivial things.

After two days in the triff, intelligent creatures begin to lose their way or forget their destination. Songs, poems and spells fade away leaving just the feeling that something went missing.

The wanderers who stay in the triff for more than three days become seriously disorientated, the average person becomes like an animal, incapable of speech and only heeding to their basic needs. The wise and the sly also forget their speech and mislay their gear, corrupting slowly but surely back into their primal selves.

Many animals live in the triff, brutal it might be, but it is also pristine and beautiful. No other triff can boast of such pure forests, rivers and lakes. A bewitching feature that has tricked many travelers to stay a while to enjoy nature, until it is too late and they must join the others in their primitive state.

Herds of humanoids can be found here. Most go naked, they graze and forage during the day and cower in holes and caves when the Hour approaches.
